About Rosanne Hart, M.A./JMC, APR

A trained journalist with a passion for fashion, Rosanne Hart parlayed her journalism experience into a 25-year career in fashion and beauty public relations and advertising. In 1982, after heading up public relations and advertising for The Dallas Apparel Mart, Hart founded The Hart Agency as a national fashion and beauty public relations and advertising firm. Hart successfully placed clients in America’s most high-profile and prestigious print and broadcast media, from Glamour, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Town and Country magazines to The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, CBS’s Morning Show, CNN, PBS, MTV and LIFETIME television. From a small portfolio of local fashion designers, the agency’s roster of clients grew to include Fortune 500 companies like Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and JCPenney, as well as luxury brands including Palais Royal, Saint Laurent Rive Gauche and the Diamond Information Center/DeBeers, The Hart Agency’s efforts, were recognized with numerous professional awards, among them Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Silver Spur, Ad League’s TOPS, Texas Public Relations Association’s Excellence Award, the Women In Communications Matrix awards, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Bronze Quill Award, and the PRSA national award for excellence–the CIPRA.

A graduate of Kansas State University with a B.S. Degree in Journalism/Clothing Textiles and Interior Design and an M.A. in Journalism/Mass Communications/PR from Kent State University, Hart is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America with an APR designation. Listed in Who’s Who in Advertising, Hart is a founding member of The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in Dallas, a charter member of The Women’s Museum, and a member of The Fashion Group International of Dallas, and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) where she serves as a mentor, and member of the Educator’s Academy. She also is a member of the XIX Society of The Dallas Women’s Foundation. Hart served on the board of The Family Place Partners for many years, The Fashion Collectors of The Dallas Historical Society, NAWBO, Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce International Business Committee, Executive Women of Dallas, and Board of Governors for the University of North Texas School of Merchandising. She is asked to speak frequently on fashion-industry-related topics and has served as a guest lecturer at El Centro College in Dallas, Art Institute of Dallas, Wade College, and the University of North Texas. Currently, she serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, and mentors budding entrepreneurs, recent graduates, and young professionals working as public relations practitioners.
